I did my first placement within the sure start children’s centre which I was responsible for showing empathy and compassion for service users who came in and out of the centre especially pregnant mothers. It was here were I truly thrived, working with mothers from all walks of life. I felt able to relate to the mothers, being a single parent mother myself. I felt able to identify with their anxieties and offer them guidance when necessary. I have found this to be a truly rewarding experience.
