There is a lot of diversity in the generations and yet people are able to work together however not without its disadvantages. 3 According to Tisa Jackson, Author of this article “Bridging Generation Gaps in Today’s Workplace, most organizations know that, for the first time in history, we have four generations in the U.S. workforce, who means you might see everyone from 20 something Millennial to Generation Xers. Baby Boomers and seasoned Veteran’s working side-by-side. (Tisa Jackson) This can be a great advantage that puts companies in a stronger position to succeed in today’s mulit-generational marketplace. But generation gaps may also be a hindrance, interfering with cooperation in the workplace and creating disconnects between workers and customers. At the same time, we must prepare employees to be attuned to generational differences they are likely to encounter in serving customers.
