I love well written books that I can visualize with as I am reading. I love an author that can use words and phrases to keep me guessing throughout the book, it gives me the urge to want to know what is going to happen next. I want to keep reading to get to the end to fully understand what the author’s purpose is. I love a story that is very detailed because it gives me the chance to place myself in the story and really get into it. I can compare my life to what is written in the book and it just makes the reading much more interesting and fun. I choose to review part one of the Omnivore’s Dilemma, Seven, The Meal: Fast Food. As I reviewed the other parts of the Omnivore’s Dilemma seven was the one that captured my attention the quickest. I knew it would be something I would enjoy reading about; I knew from the title that I would be able to relate to what the author was saying and be able to place myself into the story. The author was very detailed, even giving specific looks and how the weather was on the day he choose to eat McDonalds with his family. Throughout this review the author gave me just what I was looking for in this writing. From this review I was able to get a visual picture of what was going on in the book. I was able to put the picture of the author and his family dining out at a fast food restaurant. In the review I was amazed at how the author even explained the facial expressions of his wife when ordering from a fast food menu. It made me think of myself, I am not a huge fan of fast food. I would rather prepare my food, so that I know exactly
