Jordan Taylor English 111-51 Descriptive Essay, Thomas Taylor 09/09/13 I was quickly awakened to the sound of the pager screaming at me. I sat up and silently listened as the dispatch lady said, “Company 12 respond for a structure fire.” I jumped right out of my bed and threw my clothes on. I ran to my truck and got right in and off I went. When I got to the firehouse I ran to my gear rack and jumped immediately into my boots, thrust my arms into my jacket, and tossed my helmet on my head. Shaking like a tree on a windy day, I climbed onto the fire truck.
Cheryl Gomes 12-1-11 On a hot august day, Elisabeth and Dr. David beck sat out for their two-hour drive to Lake Charmaine. That is where they first meet at ten years old. Luckily there out of bullets, ( form shooting the other workers in the offices) when Dakota brakes through the front door he slides forward to avoid gun fire from the army unit circling the entrance and as bullets light up the terrorists; “ Dakota!” yells Bill. “Dad!”… Dakota quickly runs toward his father jumping in to a massive embrace.
When suddenly I felt as if I was shrinking, falling as those eyes burnt within me, I screamed. My head began to whirl, I crashed to the ground. “Neigghhhhhhh.” The foal awoke me; the scream blasted my ear drums, he was being attacked by a black silhouette. I rapidly leaped to my feet – I lost control of my body, I did attempt to save him, I did, but I didn’t make it. They were gone… I trekked the savage earth, i went on looking day and night .the small heart of fire, reminded me of Michael’s young sister.
One of my friends decided to chase me down, for I was trapped on top of his swing set with only one way down. He hurriedly climbed up the ladder to hunt me down, so I quickly plopped down and scooted forward to hastily go down the slide. However, when I inched up to the slide, I felt a sharp pain in my butt. I cried out in agony and hurried home. I was not sure what happened, but I knew something was stuck.

When she was leaving Boo Radley’s house from walking him home because he had saved her life, she noticed “to her left of the brown door was a long shuttered window. When she stood on his windowsill, she tried to imagine what he saw when Atticus shot a crazy dog, Scout, Jem, and Dill enacting a strange drama of their own, and Scout ending up in front of Boo’s house when she was rolling down street in a tire. She noticed that to Boo Radley, those events seemed strange and unusual since he wasn’t informed with the latest news. She learns that she must put herself in others’ shoes to comprehend the situation and feel what others
BOMB! The sirens blare out and they are people screaming and running everywhere. The bomb is coming! I ran through to my sister’s room to get her but she wasn’t there. I ran out to our shelter and there was our mum and sister sitting in there but my dad wasn’t.
Take us away to a new life, far from here and a life far different from what we had experienced. Their faces told it all. A sense of disbelief and a sense that all our memories in this house would be torn to bits. We all started to cry. Meanwhile the lady alongside some men came around the back and opened the door.
In horror, I had never seen anything like it. The impact had destroyed the door, and jammed metal shard through her leg. She was stuck, and there was virtually nothing I could accomplish for her. I unbuckled her seatbelt, and one of the other people screamed, “You have to get her out of there, now!” In an instant, a huge guy came running up, and started yanking on the driver’s side door, in good means I’m sure, but only jammed the door farther into her leg. I showed the guy what he had done, and mortified, he slowly backed away.
