Blood Type Diet People nowadays want to get an ideal body, They did a lot of ways to achieve it, one of the ways is to go on with diet. To note, diet not only makes the ideal body but also good for health. A balanced diet helps us to manage supply nutrition and energy for maintaining body cells, tissues, and organs, and for supporting normal growth and development. There are many kinds of diet like Blood Type Diet. This kind of diet is pretty famous in society because of its advantages: , in other ways blood type diet are (disadvantage). According to Dr. Peter D’adamo, author of Eat Right For Your Type, a chemical reaction occurs between our blood and the foods we eat. The reaction is part of our genetic inheritance. The reaction is caused by a factor called lectins.( D’adamo, 1997) Lectins are a type of protein that can bind to cell membranes, abundant and diverse protein found in foods, have agglutinating properties that affect our blood. So when you eat a food containing protein lectins that are incompatible with your blood type antigen, the lectins target an organ or bodily system and begin to agglutinate blood cells in that area. “The blood type diet is a nutritional diet advocated by Peter J. D'Adamo. D'Adamo claims that ABO blood type is the most important factor in determining a healthy diet and recommends distinct diets for each blood type.”(ibid, 1997) Throughout his books, D'Adamo cites the works of biochemists and glycobiologists who have researched blood groups, claiming that their research supports this theory.The evolutionary theory of blood groups used by D'Adamo stems from work by William C.
