Roy Landgrave is a R.O.P teacher at Chino high School. He teaches Auto Body Collision Repair. He has been working at Chino High for about fourteen years. When he was a kid he would go with his father to work at Chaffy College. Roy learned after his father and watched him as he taught his students. When he graduated high school Landgrave attended the University of San Diego. After finishing off college, Landgrave started off teaching as an aid than was asked if he would want to become a teacher and teach students everything he learned. Roy Landgrave couldn’t give that opportunity up. He has twenty-six years of experience. Roy Landgrave shared a few tips on what requirements are to be needed if wanting to teach or become a student. 1.You need to know math, it is a must in this field. 2. You need to have steady and strong hands so you can feel the dents in cars and other parts. 3. You defiantly need to know how to M.iq. well. 4. Also he would recommend to take a business class. You would need to have a teaching credential. Landgrave wanted to become a teacher so he can help others. Let them in on the information he knows, and show them how to work on cars, how to sand hoods, doors, body frames, trim nails, and apply acrylic enamel. The picture you see above is Daniel Cineros sanding down a hood frame. Roy taught him well. These students Kevin Gil, Asa saldana, and Cesar Mar are learning how to paint a frame. This would be a good class to take if wanting to work in the industry, construction, and even becoming a mechanic. Roy Landgrave loves his job. He likes to see his students take in trace in their work and likes that they know what to do. The way he is with his students is outstanding.
