This was the start of Gate’s interest in the programming world. From this moment on all of his energies and resources went to further his knowledge about software. Gates started high school in 1969; throughout his next four years he kept programming and was even able to make some money off of some of the codes that he had written. He received a1590 out of 1600 on his SATs, and then understandably applied to Harvard for the fall of 1973. During his short time at Harvard, he met his future business partner, Steve Ballmer, who later became a CEO of Microsoft.
