Chris Johnson Final exam English 110 Fall 2011 What was your biggest aspiration as a child? The word aspiration is a hope or ambition of achieving something. Since I could remember my life long dream has been to play professional football. I started playing football when I was just six years old. I played for a team called the Mt. Airy Bantams in Philadelphia. I wasn’t a star but I enjoyed the game. I continued playing for them for about 7 years, until I decided to join my middle school team. Middle school is where I started developing a true talent for the game but yet I wasn’t ready my attitude had not developed an neither did the work ethic I need to work towards my long time aspiration. During middle school and most of high school while football was my first and only love I was into parties and girls as a lot of people my age was. In ninth grade after my freshman season at Cheltenham high school I moved to Atlanta Georgia. The south is real big on football so if I wanted to make it this was my chance, but I had no one behind me. You se football was my twist there was no one saying go Chris go I drove my self. So as time went by I found myself approaching my senior year an I still had not played a year of varsity football. I played around so long I didn’t notice time passing me by. But approaching the second semester of my junior year I became friends with a kid named Eric Herkley. Eric and I had a serious conversation about were we wanted to go with football. Weather I was a good athlete or not was never the question, everyone knew I was an athlete but there was the question of weather or not I wanted to make it as bad as I said I did. So Eric broke it down to me and made it clear that if I didn’t pick things up I wouldn’t make it. So that was my new start because after that I made it my mission to get in the best physical shape possible. So as time
