Unprotected sex has so many dangers; it can lead to bad reputation, unwanted pregnancy and STD’s. Safe sex is the best way to protect yourself, some people claim that using a condom is not pleasurable but it is better than catching a disease/infection.Sexual relationships present risks. Abstinence is another very good way to postpone taking those risks until you are better able to handle them. Unprotected sex is a major issue in the teens of today’s society. Between teenager’s hormones, peer pressure and lack of sex education, teens find it hard to stay abstinent or use safe sex. Most teens do not know or care about the serious consequences unprotected sex can have. Safe sex and abstinence are highly recommended due to STI’ and pregnancy. The consequences of unprotected sex in a teen’s life can lead to teen pregnancy and it is very common. Studies have shown teenage girls are 30% more likely than teenage male to have unprotected sex the first time they have sexual intercourse. 3 out of 10 teen girls in the US will get pregnant at least once before age 20? That's about 820,000teen pregnancies each year. Welcome to a society where children bear children. Teens should be taught that it is not easy to have a baby in high school because they still have a future awaiting them.Less than half of teen mothers graduate from high school and fewer than 2% earn a college degree by age 30. Most teenage mothers do not realize the stress a baby can bring on. Teen mothers do not realize how many opportunities they will miss out on. College is a big deal for most people if they would like to have a promising and better future but with a baby, it will hold you back from so much. Not only are the opportunities going to pass by but the teenage mother will be stressed out. It is neither easy nor cheap having a baby; they have special needs and cost a lot.
