Smith was always nice. She is an excellent sense of humor, or a least I think so. During a moment following one of her many court appearances with her ex husband, she came to work feeling vindicated. She felt that she “got him”. She was able to prove to the judge her case, but mainly happy because she still wants to hurt her husband.
In Prep, Lee dealt with sexual curiosity and drama in friendships. This is what many girls deal with, today. She was once very timid, and eventually flourishes into a girl who is triedto be normal. Gene was a boy who deats with the difficulties of competition. He always envied his best friend, and always wished that he could be more like him.
In “Faux Friendship”, essayist and critic William Deresiewicz tells about friendship and the journey of how friendship has changed over the decades. Friendship is an important part of everyone’s lives. Every person wants to be a friend or to have that special person they can call their friend. What is friendship becoming now that we have networking sites that allow us to keep in contact with potentially every person we come into contact with? Being someone’s friend was not something that was given freely.
For similarities they both have love but they both gain it and lose it. For example hitch losses sarah and ben losses andie. They both also find love in an odd way but it happens. For example how albert falls for alegra and how both andie and ben fall for each other even though they did each other wrong. Some of the differences were how it happened like in hitch it was because sarahs friend got screwed over and she blamed the date doctor.
But I want to point one girl out that has left a huge impact on my life. Kenzie. You have been my number one supporter, a best friend, and a teammate. After every game I could not wait to get a text from you telling me what I did well and how much you loved me. I don’t think you understand how much you have mentally helped me this year.

In addition, as interdependent relationships are formed, group members become more depersonalized and in turn, concerned for the welfare of other members. Each member has his or her own idiosyncrasy that distinguishes them from the others; however, it is obvious that the identity of each character in the Seinfeld group is representative of each other. A few that are prominent are their martial status (single), their age (late 30’s) and they are funny in their own ways. Positive evaluations and liking for other associates are induced by the knowledge that they share a common group identity and these characteristics bring the group together. However, George finds their collective identity a problem when he believes Cheryl will like his friends more than she likes him because they are funnier.
English 340 11/25/12 Journal Entry #3 In the book there were two sisters who they were twins but they were so jealous against each other and because they were look alike so they could use their name for tricking their friends. Liz and Jessica are had rapport with each other they were always telling everything that was going on between them. But also they had flippant feeling for each other too because they wanted to still each other’s friends but in the end of the story they knew that it’s not worth it to fight with each other just because of a guy who they just met a week ago. The examples that I chose from the book is, “It’s okay to steal your sister’s boyfriend as long as you really love him Just because two people look the same doesn’t
Personal-Contextual: One example of contextual discourse that you see throughout the movie is Carlys relationship with her boyfriend, is somewhat similar to the relationship that she has with her father. They are both abusive. I get a feeling that she is use to this type of male treatment towards women, so it is almost somewhat of a comfort level with her. Differences-Similarities: All of the team players on the team are there to win, just as the coach is. They have different ideas of how this is going to happen and what team work really means.
Finny and Gene had a love and hate relationship. Sometimes they would make fun of each other to the point where it was exciting no more, and sometimes they loved each other to the point where they would depend on each other and help one another. They had their many sides of friendship. These tie into the setting of the novel. They act like they are in war.
