Project part one: Paul Lynde By Marie Fullmer I chose Paul Lynde as the subject of my project. He was a very funny man, and was most famous for being the center square on the game show Hollywood Squares in the 60s and 70s. Paul was born on June 13, 1926 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He attended Northwestern University and studied drama with other now-known-celebrities Charlotte Rae, Patricia Neal, and Charleton Heston. He graduated in 1948 amd moved to New York where he started performing as a stand-up comedian.
Entourage Entourage is an HBO television comedy-drama series which premiered on July 18 2004 and concluded on September 11, 2011. “Entourage” was directed and written by Doug Ellin and follows the acting career of Vincent Chase, played by Adrian Grenier. Vincent Chase is a young A List movie star and along with him he brings his childhood friends from Queens, New York as they adjust to the often hectic and stressful life of a movie star in Los Angeles California. The show has two executive producers, Doug Ellin and successful Hollywood actor Mark Walhberg. The show is largely based on Walhberg’s life and Vincent Chase was envisioned to be similar to Mark Walhberg, but in a more fictionalized and toned down way due to Walhberg’s past of crime and violence.

Robert Duvall, a veteran actor who, over his 57 years of acting has starred in some of the most acclaimed movies and TV shows. He has also started several foundations, has extensive charitable works and served honorably in the U.S Army. Robert Duvall has been nominated and won numerous awards for his exploits in acting.
Hip Hop was formed in the early 1970’s. Artists such as James Brown, Grand Master Flex, Afrika Bambaataa, Fab 5 Freddy, and DJ Hollywood were one of the first to introduce Hip Hop. The origin of this music genre stemmed from block parties of the Ghetto Brothers. It was stated that the Ghetto Brothers used to plug their instruments and amps up for these parties and enjoy themselves. An artist people love to jam to during this period of time was a popular artist who is well known today as James Brown.
Kevin Hart has had an amazing amount of success in his young career. Hart has done well in the box office and been a recent recipient of 2 NAACP Image Awards. He has been nominated for a number of awards and starred in his own sitcom. Kevin believes his success is due in part to his savvy use of social media. Hart opens up to Oprah Winfrey in an interview that will air this Sunday on the OWN Network’s Oprah Prime.
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. is probably one of the most influential rappers alive, and more than likely one of the most well-known across America. Dwayne, aka Lil Wayne, is the one guy I would sponsor to be my “National Living Treasure” out of any other American, no doubt. Lil Wayne landed in the rap scene when he was at the young age of eleven years old. Ever since the day he was signed by Cash Money Records in nineteen ninety-three, he has exploded and become one of the most successful artists Hip-hop/Rap has come across. With nine studio albums and twenty-five mixtapes, all eyes are on Lil Wayne to see what is bound to come next.
The True Godfather Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are American acting legends and icons. Most actors could only hope for a tenth of their movie successes. Both De Niro and Pacino have been acting in blockbuster movies since the 1970s. They both got their first taste of success in Martin Scorsese’s “Godfather” films. Over the next five decades both men have acted in over 110 movies.
Pulp Fiction is an Oscar winning movie produced in 1994 starring one of today’s biggest movie stars. The movie was directed by the famous Quentin Tarantino known from other movies such as “Sin City”, the “Kill Bill” movies and “Jackie Brown”. The movie lasts for a good 2 hours and 30 minutes which is filled with top class entertainment. Bruce Willis (52) is a famous action hero known from Die Hard (1-4), Lethal Weapon and a series of other major action movies. John Travolta (53) who got his breakthrough with Saturday Night Fever and Grease delivers great acting in this movie as a mob hitman.
Saturday Night Live was and is the start for many actors and comedians. People like Steve Martin, John Blushi and David Spade got their start on SNL. It was also the start for many movies, like the Blues Brothers and Wayne's World. Saturday Night Live debuted on October 11, 1975 with comedian, George Carlin hosting. 2008 is its 34 season and has 640 Number of episodes to date.
