Bermuda Triangle * The Bermuda Triangle, or “Devil’s Triangle”, exist. * The Bermuda Triangle is a region located in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean. * It covers the Straits of Florida, the Bahamas and the entire Caribbean island area and the Atlantic east to the Azores. * It is also one of the most heavily traveled shipping lanes in the world, including aircraft. * After the disappearance of Flight 19 in 1945, it grabbed the attention and curiosity of many, and so the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle began. * December 5th 1945, Flight 19 disappeared off the coast of Florida. * A patrol plane launched a search on the missing Flight 19 and it too, including the crew, disappeared. * There had been several loss reported in the region known as the Bermuda Triangle. * In March 1918, the US Navy had lost the USS Cyclops and all 366 crew members. * And in February 1965, SS Marine Sulphur Queen carrying loads of sulphur, sank. * Neither the Cyclops or the SS Marine Sulphur Queen was ever recovered. * 78% of the Earth is covered by water, and these waters have been served as passage ways to connect the world. * But also these passage ways also served as a graveyard for ships that’s lost at sea. The location of the Bermuda Triangle is at the heart of an area that the weather can change without warning. It is the birth place of many storms that developed suddenly and quickly become fierce. If a ship such as the USS Cyclops or a plane flew into an unknown developing storm, it could explain why this area was blamed for all these disappearances. Today’s recent technological advancements allows us the ability to forecast and to predict weather conditions.
