It is generally believed that the organic food is better than the conventional food, and it is main reason for about growing 30% over the past 5-6 years. It is a healthier alternative because it comes from an environment which avoids using the synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Although the cost of organic food is higher than the non-organic food, it benefits everyone is wealth of health in the long term. Scorgie (2012) refers to benefit of the organic food is healthy and safe for human because it adds more minerals, consumption of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids than non-organic food. According to Smith-Spangler, et al. (2012), also, it escapes using pesticides what can cause neurological issue, vomiting, cancer, infertility, allergies, asthma, wheezing, rashes and other skin problems, nausea, ADHD, diarrhea, birth defects and more. These are the reasons why more and more dietitians advocate it. Another benefit is environmental protection. Givens, et al. (2008) reported that harmful chemicals are not used in organic farming, so there is minimum contamination for air, soil and water. Especially water as the polluted water by chemicals into rivers, lakes and ocean from farmland. Overall, its farming methods keep circumstance clean, thus insuring a safer and healthier world for future generations and animals to live in. The merits of organic food also include better taste; it does not contain chemical preservatives and therefore cannot sit on the shelf for too long, hence, it is often sold locally in order to reduce cargo delivery time, according to Bittman.
