For example, starting a business requires research into the target customer and the competition to create a business plan. The business research process is a feature of the market that enables an organization to make good business decisions. The business research process consists of various elements which contribute to better decision making including; knowledge, new knowledge is created through research. Therefore, research is based on primary and secondary sources, often together with the original data collected via research "instruments" (surveys, interviews, questionnaires, "focus groups," etc.) to produce new knowledge on a particular topic. Why is business research important to business? What is the purpose of business research? What are the objectives and benefits of business research? These are some of the many questions that a business research can give an answer to. These different methods of business research process will be discussed so as to obtain a better understanding of the crucial role it plays in business productivity and efficiency. The foremost component of the research process is that the researcher has to formulate and elucidate the research topic, to ensure they collect the right amount of data. There must be enough time to perform the research, therefore, a proper timescale should be implemented or enforced (Saunders, Lewis, &Thornhill, 2007). Business research is important to business in many different ways, such as testing of new products. Business research can test the potential success of new products and services within the market. Companies must know what kinds of products and services customers want before entering into the market (Greener, 2008).
