A résumé doesn’t just have to apply to a job application. It has the flexibility to extend to other colleges for graduate programs in their field of study. A résumé can even be used in order to work as a volunteer as a way of showing that the applicant has the responsibility to work a paying job. Most volunteer jobs will want to know the caliber of the person they are. Some people say they can use a program to make their résumé, which is a very dangerous choice due to the programs having a fixed space to fill out; making it cold and calculative-looking, and making it unappealing to employers.
Lack of education is perhaps the first difference that society notices between educated and uneducated individuals. What distinction some people from others is simple; successful individuals choose to take action, investing extra time and effort finishing college. When education is not taken for granted, it could be passed to next generations; the trend in educated families is to pass the legacy of education to others. For example, doctor’s children most likely will be doctors; attorney’s children most likely will be attorneys. Also, those individuals who exchange time for money on hourly jobs, most likely will bring their next generations to do the same.
I have to give the hiring employees something that will spark an interest in me and what I have to offer their company. I cannot, in any way, give them the opportunity to stereotype me based on what they see. I have to let my educational status speak for me, which means I’d have to master obtaining a certificate or degree in my chosen field of work. The economy is at an all-time decrease, and in order for me to support myself and my future family, I must have a higher education. Having a higher education will allow me to qualify for a high paying job with benefits.
Degree and Master are like platforms to everyone in order to become successful in life. With those certificates in your hands, most people feels more guaranteed, comfortable and confidence to go out to the real world to start looking for jobs. After college or university, graduates will start their job-hunting to start their new life and put themselves in the working life. The difference between graduates with degree or master or higher certificates compared to graduates without any university certificates, are that these more educated people will start their job from a higher positions depending on their educations and experiences while the undergraduates will always have to start their jobs from below or from zero. Even though there are lots of people who graduated but we still have thousands of jobless graduates in almost every field.
As time passes, these kinds of simple, mundane works have been replaced by machine. Therefore, from large incorporations to even small companies want a person who is capable of completing somewhat more sophisticated job which can be obtained from college-education. That is why people go to college in order to satisfy companies' demand, so they could get a job after graduation. Another reason is because of strong personal desire for learning. That is, people just want to learn something more deeply, which they are especially interested in.
I think college will help me to not depend on others, but to rely on myself. I know when I go to college I won’t have my family to baby me up and hold my hand every step of the way. I have to make wise decisions and hopefully they will benefit me in the long run. In college I also will learn how to manage my time with my social and academic life. If I waste time, then I am throwing my life away.
There are various reasons as to why I would like to attain an education. It is not easy in my region, being a single mother and living on a basic salary. The aim of obtaining a better job and being able to be promoted are just a few reasons why I am passionate about excelling in the academic arena. As long as I can achieve this, then I will be more than able to earn a higher income, thus landing me in a better position to support myself and my children. There is much personal satisfaction to gain from earning a college degree.
