The use of the day planner promotes self-motivation because the students are learning how to manage their time in school and at home to be able to complete their homework. This homework policy would be very useful in a second grade classroom because it encourages self-motivation as they can check off homework assignments when they get done. Second grade students would feel a sense of accomplishment as the tasks get checked off when they reach their goals. As per the policy, sometimes homework assignments are clearly written on a whiteboard devoted specifically to homework. Other times the
Here are many reasons I should not talk in class. All of them affect my friends, the teacher, or me negatively. Some of these reasons include, taking time from the lecture, lowered quality of learning, and disrespect of the teacher and the other students. Talking during class distracts other students and disrespects the teacher. This messes up the learning process.
Task 2 Part A Scenario 2 1. Positive Social Interaction: In a 3rd grade classroom, the homework policy in scenario two would promote best practices in social interaction in a few different ways. As per the policy, if a student is turning in homework late, they must first discuss it with the teacher. This is a form of conflict resolution, because they discuss why it is being turned in late (they just forgot, or even ran out of time at home) and try to figure out a way of preventing this in the future. It also gives the young student an opportunity to prove that they participated in the activity, even if they forgot to turn it in right away.
Classroom management, engagement, and motivation NBT1 Task 1 Amanda Gray Scenario 2. Mr. Collet has a 3rd grade classroom homework procedure that promotes practices with positive social interaction. The students also have a daily planner that allows them to record daily homework entries.
Standardized Testing is good for the children. The test is good for the children because it shows where the kids are at with their grade level if they are average, over average, or under average. Standardized Testing is good and should stay in the schools because of these three reasons, accountability, informatial, and how the test is good. ( NCLB source 2 pg. 4) First, Accountability is good for schools because it shows if the kids and the teachers are showing up to school, teaching, and learning.
Students need structure. Structure in the classroom will cause self motivation in students. Also, students don't like being held accountable for their actions. Having to talk to students about why they didn't finish their assignments will motivate them to do their work. Most students try to avoid being lectured or get in trouble for something they can avoid.
I believe that many students need motivations and reasons to do frequent studying, reading, and exercising; therefore frequent in-class exams will give them good reasons and motivations to start reviewing a chapter. Frequent tests will be more efficient in classes that require a lot of readings and memorizing, such as history, politic, geography, etc, because if a student procrastinate his reading until a night before the test, he will be overwhelmed. Another advantage from frequent exams is that students can use their returned exams that have been given feedbacks and the right answers for their study guides to prepare for their midterm or
An ideal student should prefer a professor who demonstrates strict guidelines and who assigns adequate homework that is relevant to class discussion, as well as being approachable. These qualities of an excellent professor should be determined by serious, driven students who find these qualities mandatory. Most students go to class and hope for little homework, and a teacher that wants the same thing they do; to get in, out, and get on with their lives. That is fine if you do not intend to learn anything, but for the people who actually put forth the effort and wish to succeed, a strict professor would be a key ingredient in achieving their goal. When going to a class, one should hope for a professor with strict guidelines and grade policies in order to retain the knowledge necessary to excel in college.
Being able to continue and grow in academic success helps the student further his or her career and gain more experience in his or her career field, as well as promote his or her future successes as a professional. A person who is literate and knowledgeable about the subject matter can earn promotions to higher positions with roles that necessitate the employment of a well-educated employee. It helps open up various opportunities in a person’s career based off of everything they will have learned from an academic program. Academically successful adults are those who have a higher level of education. These people are more likely to gain employment as well as employment stability.
One main thing that defines a student is if they struggle in school. Many students have problems when it comes to paying attention in class. This defines a student because it shows they are not going to grasp the material being presented. Many students wait until the last minute to do the assignments that are being presented to them. This causes a student to rush through his
