Matthew McHale 301 Assessment. Task B Case study You are a social care worker and a service user, Hannah, tells you that she is unhappy taking her new medication. She thinks she does not need it and so she is throwing it away. You know from her care plan that Hannah does need to take the medication regularly and gets confused. Hannah begs you to keep this confidential and not tell anyone especially her daughter, who she sees regularly, as her daughter will be very angry.
She said “There were things Amanda wasn’t telling her.” Amanda didn’t share a lot of her secrets with the people in the group which just shows that the group didn’t really know her at all. Kate and Joe were supposed to be Amanda’s closest friends in the group. Kate knew Amanda was acting strange and there were things she wasn’t telling her. Kate just assumed that it had to do with Amanda’s ex-boyfriend, Steve and though nothing of it. She never asked her what was wrong.
One of the most effective processes in leadership is the ability to build trust. Because there was no trust many members of the team began to question the plan altogether. Because there was no confidence in her and her plan the members of the team questioned her intentions, decisions and her competence. This was because all the decisions she made had an impact on the team which caused us to be hesitant to her direction and no effort was really put into her plan. Because she was never able to gain any type of trust from the team we implemented the new plan in a way that was very forceful.
It's easy to see why Rich believes that when she was a student, what she was taught "in no way prepared [female students] to survive as . . .wom[e]n in a world organized by men" (211). In my opinion, not a lot of women around this age would have been brave enough to write an article about taking women students serious for fear of oppression. Many women probably did not even know how to write because their were neglected from their studies or were probably always to busy doing what ever their husbands wanted them to do.
With the growing of her career she demanded better roles, she wouldn’t get them so she refused anymore roles that were given to her. The Warner Brothers would suspended her and then she would go on to sue them, she would lose her battle in the court. The Warner Brothers would get the message she was giving them and started paying her legal fees and offering her
There was a Pakistani girl named Malala Yousafzai who got hurt for saying that women deserve an education in her country. She didn’t care if that’s what her society thought to be acceptable, she knew it wasn’t right and so she rebelled against the whole idea of it. She survived her injuries, and now she protests for women to have a better education. There are a lot of women all over the world just like her that rebel against society’s view of women. In the story, the Awakening, Edna also rebelled against society by freely expressing herself.
She asks “Wha’s the matter with me? Ain’t I got a right to talk to nobody?” (pg 87) She doesn’t get to talk to people very often, and when she saw her chance with Lennie, “her words tumbled out in a passion of communication, as though she hurried before her listener could be taken away.” (pg. 88) She was very desperate to want to talk to someone as dumb as Lennie, since normally people would try to avoid a mentally disabled person. She also wants to make sure that Lennie is listening to her when she says, “You listenin’?” (pg 88) Curley’s wife needs to be listened to, because just her talking wasn’t good enough for her. She needed the Lennie to understand her loneliness as well.
In 1905, one year before her death, she met president Roosevelt to lobby for an amendment for women’s voting rights. It wasn’t until after 14 years of her death, that the U.S. Constitution gave women the right to vote. Anthony made a impact on the women’s right movement, even if she never saw the results of her work during her life. Anthony’s social change on the country comes from all the associations and book printings that she and Stanton created in hopes of the women’s right to vote. Their efforts along with the efforts of their organizations started the voting movement and put the idea into the minds of a country that otherwise would not have entertained the idea.
This tenant does not get much support due to this which impacts on practice, staff are not able to complete tasks with her, and not able to physically monitor her well being. Staff then have to be creative in the way they work with her and constantly problem solve in order to have contact with her and meet service requirements. The second category is impaired language and communication skills. Individuals may not be able to communicate effectively, inability to take part in conversations properly or may not be able to verbally express themselves due to a speech impediment. This can impact on practice if an individual is not able to express themselves effectively it will be harder to know what their needs and wishes are.
Women in the Work Place Introduction For many years, women’s participation in the workplace was very limited. Overtime women have transpired to become great leaders in America. Although it took centuries to become monumental figures in the United States, we now live in a time where it is easier to be a woman. From the Daughters of Liberty, to Hilary Clinton women have helped transform this country into what it is today. Leaving a path for young ladies to follow and pave even further than where we are today in society.
