Being a Model Parent

Being a model parent I have one of the most important roles in the world. The role of being a parent is not only to provide a nurturing, supportive and safe environment that will allow our children to grow healthy, it also entails disciplining, educating our kids, financially provide for the family and maintain the home. It is essential that we are an excellent model for our children, if we want them to be successful and be a healthy member of society. I want to be a good role model to my kids unlike my parent was to me. For instance, education is very important in a child’s development, morals and of course having fun. A model parent should care about their child’s education, show interest and be involved in what they are learning. My parents were never involved in any school activities; they never attended parent teacher conference, never showed any interest on what I was learning in school or helped me with my home work. On the other hand I am completely involved in all aspects of my kids’ education. For example, I attend every parent teacher conference, I am part of the parent teacher association, I also chaperon and volunteer once a week at the school. Unlike my mother, every night I read to my children, we visit the library every other week and every day I encourage at least one hour of reading on their own. After school we sit together to work on homework and any projects, I also help them study for test. My main priority is to help my children understand the importance of education it will help them succeed in life and they will have a better future. In these times is hard enough to find a job but with a degree they will have more choices and better opportunity to find their calling in life. Moral values plays an intricate role in our
