Behind the scenes of Dance Do you have a hobby that keeps you occupied when your feeling bored or need to relieve some stress off your shoulders? Well, I certainly do. I love to dance and when I’m having a horrible day, all I need to do is turn on the radio and let the music take the pain away. Practice makes perfect, as I would say. Therefore, anytime I begin to dance, there is a process analysis before, during, and after I step foot on the dance floor. To begin, I have to prepare myself before I can actually start to dance. Nobody wants to feel uncomfortable during dance practice, so proper wardrobe is a must. Depending on if I’m just dancing in my house or preparing to go to dance practice, I will know exactly what to wear. A simple pair of sweat pants and a tank top will do the job for just dancing in my house when I need some stress relief. When I go to dance practice, my wardrobe can range up to wearing spandex shorts or leggings, a tank top, and some sneakers, to wearing a nice dress and some dance heels. Depending on if I have a performance coming up; I will wear heels to get comfortable with any new dance steps that I recently learned. Before practice I would put my hair up so I wouldn’t become hot and my hair wouldn’t get in the way of anything. I would also have a water bottle ready so when I need to take a water break I can quench my thirst without walking a distance to a water fountain or waiting in line for my team to get water. I’ll make sure the water is cold and I’ll prepare a couple water bottles just in case I would need it. I would also set up a camcorder if I’m just dancing in my house so I can see what I need to improve on after I complete a dance. One last thing I would prepare before going to dance practice would be a CD if I need it. If I’m going to teach a Bachata dance or a salsa dance I made up, having a CD to show my team at dance
