Being an Austrian composer during the Enlightenment, Haydn began to create new musical ideas. He changed the idea of Baroque and created his own. He used ideas such as subtlety, climax, contrast, and suspense and put it together and composed (History Reference Center 4). While working with composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven (they did not get along), they brought in the Classical Period of the Enlightenment. Creating new musical
The brass in this time still had no valves, this restricted Beethoven greatly. In order for the natural brass to change their tuning, they would have to change crooks which took a considerable amount of time resulting in Beethoven not being able to modulate as much. Beethoven had a close friend called Franz Clement who was a famous violinist around the world. He owned Theatre an der Wien which was situated in Vienna and it was here in which Beethoven and Clement decided they would hold a benefit concert. Beethoven chose to compose Violin Concerto in D major for this concert, in order to do this he would have to take in certain elements.
This flows into what I consider one of my greatest downfalls, which is my overactive emotional response to the simplest of things. Personality-wise, I struggle to remain logical in intense situations, and fail to do so frequently. This also links into perceptions of everyday events, and how I can take the more mundane parts of life and perceive them as hostile actions towards myself. These sorts of events lead to an apologetic Levi a few days later. This is one struggle that it seems Jimi and I can relate on, and also one of my bigger challenges in
Lou Russ had a low self-esteem while playing with the band when he could not stay on beat with his playing. Mr. Holland also stops the band several times to call him out on his lack of ability. Analysis: Mr. Holland’s Opus clearly displayed motivation of both Lou Russ and Mr. Holland. Lou Russ was motivated to play an instrument while Mr. Holland was challenged not to give up and teach Lou Russ to love music as he does. The self-esteem on both the part of Lou Russ and Mr. Holland was gradually changed from low to high.
At the beginning of the passage the tone is confrontational. The main characters change into people they were not before. They become argumentative and forceful: “taking his arm” P167. But their feelings towards each other promptly alter, one moment they are emotional, blunt and aggressive and then they feel regretful for what they have done. The last few lines of the play are more emotional and full of regret: “mother, I didn’t mean to-“ P171.
Also, he is ashamed of allowing his family to see him the way he is. Besides the couple of nurses that take care of him, he has no one and nothing to live for. Joe Bunham, now injured with no limbs, suffered through the pain that no 20 year old should be going through. The war altered his life to a point where one questions the point of living. 1366 If he heard songs or instruments of music, then would he weep and could not be consoled. So feeble and low and changed were his spirits, that nobody could recognize his speech or his voice even if they heard them. And in his behavior he acted not only as if he had the lover’s sickness of Eros, but rather like madness sprung from melancholy in the cell of imagination in his brain. In short, both the disposition and habits of this woeful lover, lord Arcite, were turned all upside-down. 1379 Why should I describe all day his woe?
I needed to nurtured with love and affection, to be taught the rules of life but my father did nothing, he just left me all on my own, like a broken toy. Walking through the woods for weeks I hoped I had finally came across a family who would learn to love me as I had grown to loved them, I studied them, observed them but in the end they too abandoned me. All I felt was the feeling of rejection. I was alone, no one had ever been there for me, I felt as if I was an experiment that had gone wrong, my life meant nothing at all, I was just a puzzle put together. I decided I was going to get revenge and I didn't think about anything in that moment, I only thought about my revenge.
Beethoven : Ludwig Von Beethoven is one of the most influential classical composers, an important figure in both classical and romantic music. Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany in 1770. He was brought up in a harsh environment, coping with his alcoholic father and supporting his mother and two younger brothers. At 17 he went to Vienna to play for Mozart, he was impressed to say “Keep an eye on him, he will make a noise in the world someday.” Later he went back to study with Haydn but things did not work out between those two because of his independent spirit. Beethoven didn’t have a real patron, but his music was paid for by the nobility of Vienna.
