Jerrell Gulley BCOM 275 Version 1 August 15, 2011, 2011 Professor Rhonda Waters When people come together and work towards the same goal there is much that can be accomplished. But there are some scenarios are harder to approach without thorough preparation and even more difficult to succeed if you do not approach with caution. There are factors that affect every situation. On August 12, 2011 around 33 Chilean Miners became trapped for 17 days buried alive, it was a nightmare to the nation and world in large. The miners had to endure grueling heat, starvation and constant darkness which one could agree that it could have scarred even the fearless. There was a point where the miners had also discovered that the company had failed to maintain the safety routes and emergency supplies; which must have frustrated them beyond belief, in the being cut off from the rest of the world not knowing a rescue plan that has been set and maybe began to have some thoughts of being abandoned, there must have being so many thoughts running through the miners head as well as the miners families. They were able to probe tunnels into the miners prison to give them food water supplies as well as other resources. The rescue was broadcast daily up to the ascent of the last miner to the sanctuary of a large crowd of supporters and volunteers who gave of unselfish hands who helped with the rescue tired but wanting to see the miners come alive and well. Even the nation President and First lady were there to greet them along with their families.
