Imperialism helped the world to be globally intertwined. In the nineteenth century imperialism began in the world. Companies began to ship products overseas.

| ANALYSIS VIA PORTER’S FIVE FORCES MODEL The threat of new entrants in the online grocery business could lead to the company having to lower their prices and also, may have to lower their delivery fee just to compete with the newer companies that are trying to start out in the online business. They will also need to advance their technology within the company. The bargaining power of buyers allow for the customers that purchase loyalty from the company to pick and choose the products they need for the best price. This helps with the growth of the company; the company depends on customer loyalty to stay in business but this allows for the competitors to compete against one another. Kudler provides surveys for the consumer’s on their shopping experience which is not nearly enough. They need to conduct surveys in English as well as in Asian languages to gather as much data needed. They can also promote brand awareness by offering some samples of the gourmet foods and fine wines offered. Sponsoring certain events will also help promote business and promote their products. FJR has discussed the research with management and highly recommends that they do not open any new locations until further research has been done in other areas.
Assumptions about the way people shopped- notably that they bought everything from the same store - were shattered. This level of sophistication has made sure that Tesco remain the leaders within the market.15
In addition, Kudler Fine Foods is seeking to follow in the successful footsteps of the various retail services to implement a program of their own. A Frequent Shopper Program requires many steps in order to successfully implement. For example, the retail location that uses this program would require the development of a point of sale or POS system to integrate the capabilities of tracking order history through an online database and provide any discounts to a consumers frequent shopping with the store. However, there are several considerations, such as, legal, ethical and information security to evaluate before implementing a Frequent Shopper Program. The legal concerns that need to be addressed when considering implementing a Frequent Shopper Program are as follows • Protect any credit or medical information that pertains to the consumer, outside of this regulation there are “No laws prevent a supermarket from accumulating and selling information concerning the identity of customers and the products they purchase.
While Wal-Mart's methods are under scrutiny for the seeming forceful nature, but in reality they just have the power to push suppliers around and pressure small businesses to the brink. The retailer is brutally honest and straight forward about what they need and what they can get in their business ventures. Wal-Mart creates low prices by the threat of outsourcing and pitting suppliers against each other. If a supplier wants to change the terms of their agreement with Wal-Mart, they will simply be shoved aside and replaced by someone who will do what Wal-Mart wants. In order for small businesses to really gain an edge they have to diversify their products and exploit local suppliers, cash in on the advantage of a better enhanced customer experience, and with interaction within the nearby communities.
This does not take into account what was received from new purchases. So the value of this program from the financial aspect revolves around what is invested in it. Kudler Fine Foods investments in its program should produce similar results (JPS Retailer & FSB, 2009). Although this program is fairly new to the frequent shopper program this venture should prove fruit full. With the quality products and services provided to the customers of Kudler Fine Foods this program promises success.
