1.0 Introduction The concept of globalization currently is deployed across the world, disciplines, theoretical approaches, and the political spectrum. A host of Research Institutes, Degree programs, and textbooks are focused on this problem. From the year 2000, several new professional global studies associations have also come in place. Some theorists see globalization as the prime focus for an alternative pattern of social examination (J.H. Mittelman, 2002). Globalization has affected the culture which may be due to westernization as seen by some of the researchers. There is also an upward trend in the change of the cost of living indicating the consumers are investing on brands and international products. 1.2 Motivation This study was conducted specifically in Saudi Arabia as there is a lack of research in this field of international online marketing within its globalization effects in the Middle East. The researcher admires the online shopping sector and intends to start his own business on this platform examining the barriers and challenges that may influence customers’ lifestyle and their attitude in comparison with the local market which has attracted many consumers to buy global products from its origin via online stores.
