These people might be right but I can almost guarantee that there is probably no other artist that is as influential as Hendrix and that has changed music the way he has. After listening to some pieces of his work, they made me want to jump up on the stage with him and rock with my imaginary guitar. In my opinion he is the best
His first recording was with a group called “A Cast of Thousands”. Needless to say his guitar playing stood out. He started playing a lot of gigs when he entered high school. First, he played with a new group that his brother Jimmie started called Texas Storm. It wasn’t long after he stopped playing with them that he started his own group called Blackbird.
The Lunceford band was surprisingly a hit! He played in openings for bands and in places throughout New York. Although Sy still never got around to going to school, he loved playing music. Then Sy became an arranger to write the music for the bands and help get them gigs. He began helping people like Trummy Young, Ted Buckner and Willie Smith and with helping people like them; he created what people called the Sy Oliver style.
Guitars, Bass Guitars, Drums, Vocals, and much more were all used and still is used today. Guitars may have approved a lot since the 1950 with guitars making tons of new sounds compared to 1950 guitars had one job, but today music guitars do a lot more. The drums are a huge hit all around, everybody loves the drums and the drums have not really changed. The only thing that might have changed is the drummer and his or hers talent to play them. These instruments all have one purpose and that is to help with the music.

Born in 1917 in Portland Oregon, he spent much of his youth moving around Northern California before settling in San Francisco. There he studied with the modernist pioneer of American Music, Henry Cowell, and, while still in his twenties, composed extensively for dance and percussion. He befriended another of Cowell's students, John Cage, and the two of them established the first concert series devoted to new music for percussion. They composed extensively for these concerts, including their still popular collaboration Double Music.
Led Zeppelin is truly an influential music group because they transformed Rock n’ Roll into something that people had never heard before and proved that there was no limit to the amount of creativity that could go into one song. These four guys truly knew how to sell records as well as inspire people through their music. Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 but their original name was The New Yardbirds. Jimmy Page started out his career with The Yardbirds along with legendary guitarist Eric Clapton and bassist John Paul Jones. The band drifted over a couple of years and Page decided he wanted to from a “super group”.

They played songs like Vaseline, wicked garden, big empty, creep, interstate love song to name a few of the greats. I found the entire performance overall to be phenomenal especially for a first time concert goer such as myself they had a great dynamic overall even after the group being known to have personal issues. From what I could see, you would have never known that it was the case. I could in fact relate musical terms to the performance. Before I could not identify the improvisation of the artist such as the guitarist, nor was I able to identify or even know a stop time if I heard one such as a vocalist’s solo before learning those things in this class.
