Topic: How to bake Chocolate Chips Cookies. Organization Pattern: It is the spatial pattern. Specific Purpose: To teach everyone the history of chocolate chip cookies and how to bake them. Primary Audience Outcome: They would learn the history and know how to bake chocolate chip cookies. Thesis Statement: I am now going to teach you guys how to bake them so you can share them with your family and friends like I shared it with mine. There are three main steps in baking the chocolate chip cookies! Attention getter: The story of the Chocolate chip cookie is really an interesting one. In fact, did you know that the invention itself was really an accident? Nope, well, I didn't think so. Let me tell you a little about it. Psychological orientation: It was accidentally invented by Ruth Wakefield in 1937. It all started when she ran out of baker’s chocolate for her chocolate cookies, so she decided to replace them with these semi-sweet bars that Andrew Nestle had given to her. She thought the chocolate would melt and blend with the dough but she was wrong. The chocolate pieces held their shape and were not absorbed by the dough. She served them to her customers and they all loved it. This was when chocolate chip cookies were born. Now it is America’s number 1 favorite treat! Logical Orientation: Well, now that you know the history behind the chocolate chip cookies, I am now going to teach you guys how to bake them so you can share them with your family and friends like I shared it with mine. There are three main steps in baking cookies, so let’s get started! I. Like any cooking project, we have to gather all the ingredients and tools we need. A.
