Baderman Island Current Ethical Issues XMGT/216 Baderman Island Baderman Island is an all-inclusive resort destination located on the shore of the Kelsey River. The Island spans 1800 acres, 750 of which have been developed as the Baderman Island resort destination. The resort features three different hotels; The Baderman Main Hotel, The Tenney, and The Melancon Convention Center and Hotel. The island also features an array of restaurants and all sorts of activities to entertain and relax guests. The Melancon Convention Center is perfect for small company meetings held during corporate vacations and get-a-ways. These things are achieved through strong moral values and a solid ethical foundation. Employees of Baderman Island behave in an ethical manner at all times, and treat all guests with integrity, and respect. Baderman Island believes that everyone in the organization should operate on the basis of doing what is right in all situations. Employees are expected to respect the environment and inhabitants of the island. All wildlife on the island should be respected and considered extremely important and valuable to the future of Baderman Island. Ethics Program The ethics program at Baderman Island consists of a “code of ethics”, Ethics officers, trainers, auditors, and investigators. The code of ethics is the foundation for which all of the ethics representatives and employees operate. The code of ethics sets the standard behavioral expectations of everyone within the company. Each new employee at the company is immediately familiarized with the code of ethics. Ethics officers are responsible for the entire ethics program and oversee the work of trainers, auditors, and investigators. The officers are also responsible for enforcing company policies relating to ethics. When an ethical issue arises, the ethical officer will gather the team of ethics professional to being the investigation process.
