There are also some artists that try to influence people to do bad things such as using drugs, commit a crime. They write songs that defend themselves from the critics. In this article, we are not going to discuss about how music influences people to do commit a crime or to do a charity but instead we will be focusing on how things are portrayed in music. We will solely look at how drugs are portrayed in music. I chose drugs as a topic because I personally think drugs are dangerous and they affect the people who are using them significantly in a negative way.
Censorship is the idea of not revealing ideas and text in order to benefit society. But in many ways, censoring items causes the world to create biased thoughts based on the limited information released. In some cases the world is blinded because they are told nothing to begin with. Historical events such as the holocaust can prove this true. To this day society continues to be censored from ideas by the government and companies that impact our ways of life and learning.
In some countries around the globe, such as Norway and Sweden, elected officials have made it totally illegal for parents to spank their child. Since this happened Oakland, California has established an official "No Spanking Zone." This proposes a question, is spanking a good form of discipline? From what the doctors say it certainly appears not to be and I think most parents tend to agree with them that spanking is not an acceptable form of discipline anymore. But according to the Critique of Anti-Spanking Study, found in Assertive Discipline, "experts do not all agree that spanking is harmful and some believe that mild spanking is a useful form of discipline" (Canter).
Second, the author addresses the prohibitionist argument that illegal drugs cause harm to people around the user as well. Huemer agrees that drugs have the potential to ruin a user’s life whether it be laziness, poor communication with others, or not taking pride in one’s work. He states that drug use only has a chance of causing one to behave in these ways. There are people all over the world that voluntarily behave in these ways without the use of drugs. Should these people be arrested for being losers?
To deny him this was wrong. Some people think that staying in detention centres is a vacation, because the government pays for everything, but how would they know, have they been or stayed inside one? People make assumptions on what they see in the media, but the media also doesn’t know the full story, they just know what the officials tell them and want them to see. Living in detention centres is NOT some holiday, it is harsh and a horrible place to stay. Detention centres is not a place where the people are treated with respect and kindness, it is a place where people, especially teenagers get sexually assaulted, given the wrong medication and can even die.

In order to keep the people in the civilization distracted, parlor walls, big television screens, and seashells, earphones that play music, were invented in order to avoid the population from having free will. Although Gossip Girl may be questioned for certain elements within the novel, it should not be banned to everyone. A book that is banned is usually removed from libraries and classrooms because of its content. Books can be challenged or banned for many reasons, such as political, religious, sexual or social content. This would be called censorship, which would inhibit others from seeing certain information. It’s when materials are removed from things we see everyday such as TV, music, books, or the internet, because the content may appear obscene or objectionable.
However, you need to stop believing the gaming stereotypes the news puts out; gaming doesn't turn good people bad, it just gives people entertainment. In fact, tests show that gaming is more of a stress relief than most after school activities. People shoot up schools, rob people and such and then use gaming as a scapegoat just because they can. It is not gaming's fault; those people really are just bad people. The game was not the key master to unlock the beast within.
Younger generations are mimicking what they see in movies and television shows, while forgetting to do important tasks, such as focusing on schooling. It is obvious that a dreadful trend is developing within our country. A dangerous message is being sent out by pop culture and those influenced by the media are wasting away into a mind state of pure stupidity, because stupidity is what is being promoted. There are some cases where being intelligent and independent with one’s thoughts have not been a key factor to becoming successful, the cases are rare but it is a possibility.
