Government Reaction About Backmasking And Subliminal Messages In Music Music has since time immemorial been using abusive and hidden messages that make it unhealthy to listen to. Through subliminal messages, the artists is able to manipulate the opinion of others without their notice. The message is flushed or inserted in the music piece that it is not easily detected. Backward masking is a type of subliminal messages. Subliminal messages are believed to brainwash the minds of the music listeners when the music is played often. They may influence the thinking of the music listeners and make them accept Occultic or satanic beliefs. Most of the advertising experts, psychiatrists, and Psychologists believe that subliminal messages are not influential because they mostly go unnoticed. As a result, there are not federal laws set governing subliminal messages use. However, there are regulatory policies preventing its use in theaters, on radio or on television. Additionally, there are policies developed by self-regulatory boards in the music recording industry prohibiting use of subliminal messages in filmed, recorded or broadcast productions meant for the public. Further, the federal government rules against subliminal technology use but is less likely to pose any charges. There have been a number of laws introduced in US congress but dies before the live the committee to the senate or the floor of the house. This is because it has not been proved that subliminal messages are influential. The Federal Communication Commission does not award broadcast license to any company using subliminal messages. Some of the subliminal messages in music clips include the song "Look! No Strings!" by Chumbawamba in which a girl recites Hail-Mary’s, "You Could Feel the Sky" by Boards of Canada, the script "A god with hooves, a god with horns”.
