My ethical development began when I was a young child. My mother served in the military as a drill instructor and instilled in her three children the value of integrity, honor, strong moral values, and keeping your word. I was also brought up on the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, and he was used as an example of a person of very high character. These two factors are the basis of the ethical system that I use today.
I don’t know what God has planned me, but I know that God has the best plan for me, in Jeremiah 29:11, it says, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I know it is God’s will to have me utilize and improve my God given abilities as a student, so that I can be fully ready when His calling comes. The following is one essay 250-500
My main focus will target their kinship systems, beliefs and values, and their social organizations. “The Amish family is the foundation of the Amish way of life” (Inside the Amish Family). Its structure and traditions are like a page out of history that has remained throughout the Amish culture. In the Amish family structure, there’s a “blueprint” for everyday life. Just like the Holy Bible is our guide for daily living as Christians, the Ordnung guides the Amish “through all the details of their daily lifestyle” (Inside the Amish Family).
o Recently, I read the book " The Hiding Place" by Corrie ten Boom, edited by John and Elizabeth Sherril. While reading the book, I was noticed a pattern of major Christian qualities that Corrie possessed. Through her life story, we see her compassion toward others, her concentration on God's Will, and her godly character that challenged the lives of countless souls. Corrie never forgot that Israel was "the apple of his (God's) eye" (Zechariah 2:8). For that reason, she tried to service the Jews as much as they could - keeping in mind that Israel is God's chosen people, and she was to obey God's commands.
And just what is missiology? It’s what effective Christian missionaries study and practice. They make it their business not only to understand the timeless gospel message, but also the culture in which they are ministering. They understand that communicating effectively means much more than learning the language. Effective missionaries are lifelong learners of culture, working to understand where their people currently are so they can lead them to a true, yet truly enculturated, understanding of the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.
He taught us to be kind and not to judge, to treat our neighbors respectfully. He taught us to turn the other cheek and to have faith in God’s word. Jesus taught us not only to love ourselves but to love mankind as well. Jesus taught us how to walk the road to righteousness and to have faith in God our heavenly father. Jesus addressed many issues during his sermon on the mount.
TASK 1 - Adhere to the childcare code of ethics Eleni Fortis Question 1 - Is this ethical behaviour? Which Code of Ethics guidelines would assist you in this decision and how? Belinda chose to discuss the martial problems with Eleni’s parents with another staff member, in my opinion this is not ethical behaviour. Margo Kingston (2002) also defines ethical behaviour as “integrity in the moment of choice.” The choice that Belinda has, is either to talk about what she has been told or not discuss it. The Early Childhood Code of Ethics is the “framework for reflection about the ethical responsibilities of early childhood professionals” (The Code of Ethics 2006) Therefore it provides a guideline for what ethical behaviour is.
God’s Word makes it very clear (Psalm 127:3) that children are a gift and blessing from Him. With each gift comes the responsibility of stewardship and our duty to be found faithful (1 Corinthians 4:2). This blessing is enhanced when parents use Scripture and the Holy Spirit’s guidance to provide strength, direction, and correction for their children (Proverbs 29:17). Most researchers believe that parent discipline practices are absolutely vital in the socialization and development of children. (Pinderhughes, Dodge, Bates, Pettit, and Zelli, 2000).
It is the employer’s role to encourage ethics in the workplace. In order for this to happen, organizations must create an environment where employees are encouraged to discuss ethics and encourage the learning of ethics in the work place. (Oliver, p.60) Character/ Virtue A person’s character and virtue depends mostly upon the morals and values that were instilled in them as a child. (Olivette, p. 429) My mother did her best to teach me to have a good character and to always keep my virtue intact. The military also tries to instill morals and values into their soldiers.
