Girls nowadays don’t like to mix abstract colours and clothing styles, its either dress for work or dress for leisure. Australia may have been influenced by the economy; it shows by the use of coats and blazers worn by these girls that looking like a business woman was trendy. The use of makeup also shows that girls were not afraid to use artificial products to enhance their features which was totally different during the early days. Women in the 80s may be searching for equality between genders.
