Assignment 2.1: Policemen of the World Thesis and Outline John Doe Strayer University Introduction Paragraph In my opinion, all throughout history foreign policy was not a matter that was taken too seriously. In my eyes it is seen as nothing more than a temporary rule that was always put into place when best saw fit no matter the length of the action that needed to be taken after the deed was accomplished the policy was simply swept under the rug. During the twentieth century the United States have become the "policemen" of the world through international incidents such as (then list your two chosen incidents here) and through changes in foreign policy after World War II. Outline I. Three International Events from the past five years that can be traced back to a foreign policy created after the Civil War – A. 2003-2006 capture of former Iraq president Saddam Hussein B. on August 2014 in Iraq where they provided airstrikes in response to the report that the terrorist had gained the upper hand which posed a threat to America’s interest in Iraq. C. the 2011 Libyan Civil War to overthrow Libyan leader Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, commonly known as (Colonel Gaddafi) and the United States participation in the 2011 Yemeni Civil War protesting the leadership of Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh II. Three Aspects of U.S. history since 1865 that has led to the U.S.'s rise as a world superpower police A. Religious Beliefs: as far as the “united Christian nation” or so that’s how the leaders saw it. In my opinion religion was only used as a means to gain power hence the word “used”. B. Moral Beliefs: everyone should have free will, freedom of speech and so on, once America saw and fixed its own shortcomings as a nation, it then looked down on other nations that were not as pressured by the people to change.
