In, the discussion, I want to talk about the venue for this meeting at the beginning. The author also tried to express about this matter by saying that, “what the scene would be if a peace conference of this kind were being held in Canada, or Australia, or somewhere in the west”. Then perhaps, the basis of the discussion would be totally different. There the reasoning would be much simpler. Perhaps their discussion on the American War Policy would be much straight forward. The whole process of discussion would be much simpler because they would not be discussing themselves [on their own (Asia’s) own agendas, and spending 60% of their time and energy; as he explained in page-573] so much as they did in Manila. For choosing Manila, the basic purpose may be to find a suitable and neutral place for the same minded people to gather, also which should be in Asia. Asia with its multi religion, ethnicity and culture, bestows a difficult tusk to find a perfect place. The author describes in his essay, about the contribution of different Asia countries, such as Pakistan, Japan, Indonesia, Korea and many others, in the USA’s “War on Terror”. By rejecting the idea of choosing P.R. China as the place for this summit, surly proves the idea only to “to crystallize Asian people’s concerted response” against the USA’s Global pacification scheme. The destruction of the human rights is being systematized and institutionalized in the American “anti-terrorist legislation” that has either been signed or awaits passage by governments. Some of these regimes have given in to intimidation by Washington. Rest, such as Islamabad, Jakarta and Manila, willfully betrayed their own people in return for cold cash labeled as the "economic aid". Some others, like New Delhi, though didn’t actually take the bribe and support the American War, but definitely have taken advantage of the war
