There are many important products or service components of a hotel stay. In my opinion, the three most important for my generation of consumers consists of the rooms, the hotel amenities and customer service. When a customer comes to stay at a hotel they want to feel like they’re not at home, but that they still have all of the amenities of home. Hotels should be like a home away from home. They should provide everything that a home does and much, much more.

As the VP of Human Resource one of the areas that need to be developed within my organization would include HR delivery as it relates to the hiring process (Flynn, et al, 2007). One of my key areas of development would include a more employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. As recruitment and retention continues to be a challenge how we hire individuals is key to this specific area of development, and the HR representative should ultimately take charge of this process by way of partnering with other key managers to implement the plan more effectively across the board (Alvin, 2011). Currently within my organization the department manager hire as well as review the new hire packet with all new employees and we continue to find that employees have specific questions that often time other managers cannot speak to in the same way that the human resource manager can.
The service they supply to their customers does not require the company to break down into segregated divisions; therefore, a divisional structure is too complex for them. On the other hand, the company has a similar hierarchy as that of a divisional structure, however, the need to have multiple vice presidents and directors not necessary. Another advantage of this method of research is it allows for the concise and exact use of words in writing the questionnaire, leading to more direct answers of what you are looking for. Although these are all great reasons why self-report questionnaires are beneficial to the researcher, there are some disadvantages which limit the amount we can learn from the results. In general, the typical study fails to explore respondent’s attitudes or feelings on more than one occasion. This does not allow the researcher to see how respondents will express their feelings at another time or in another situation. In addition, the accuracy of the answers given is disputable based on the fact that people tend to lie or skew their answers in order to make themselves look better.

Form Follows Function Due to the influences of culture, architecture, technology, function, aesthetics, fashion, and social symbolism, the chair has been ever changing and over time has lost its arms and regained them over and over again. For the last 150 years the evolution of the chair has paralleled developments in architecture and technology and reflected the changing needs and concerns of society. Just as tastes change, so do other factors, such as expectations of comfort, which vary from period to period and between different cultures. The use of new technology and materials, frequently developed in other areas of industry and applied to furniture production, has fundamentally shaped the changes that have occurred in chair design. (Fiell, Modern Chair, 15) The chair has evolved due to changing fashions, import of exotic examples, and new materials.
In addition to sharing their actions, thoughts, and feelings with the reader, Henry James reveals insights about the characters in The Portrait of a Lady by employing architectural and landscape imagery as a means for characterization. Rather than directly describing the characters’ appearances, James uses architectural settings to reflect the characters’ attributes, often treating the description a character’s home and context as an extension of the character’s personality. From the façade of a building to the description of a room’s interior, James presents every setting to the reader to reveal something larger about the novel’s characters. Without James’ detailed descriptions, true understanding of the book’s complex characters would be incomplete. The settings in The Portrait of a Lady cultivate a context in which the reader witnesses the transformation of Isabel Archer’s values, attitude and perspectives.
