Buddhism was the main inspiration for art in the region, and the most important Buddhist structures were created between the first and second century BCE. Such as the Great Stupa of Sanchi, except it was built in the third century. The Great Stupa was not a tomb, however it was a monument. It is said to be that out of all of the early Indian monuments, none of them compare to the ultimate and most famous Great Stupa of Sanchi. Located at Sanchi, Central India it is admired by all.
Lotus of the Good Law is also very significant to followers of Buddhism as it expresses salvation to Buddhism being universally attainable and lastly, the Tibetan Book of the Dead is also very substantial to adherents of Buddhism as it as it is means by which a Buddhist can determine their rebirth or Nirvana. The Tripitaka is a very significant text for adherents of Buddhism as it can as a guide to the teachings of the Buddha. Firstly, the Tripitaka is a sacred text split into three “baskets”; the Sutra Pitaka, Vinaya Pitaka and the Abhidharma Pitaka. The first basket, the Sutra Pitaka sets the rules and expectations of the Sangha. In this way, the Tripitaka is very significant to adherents of Buddhism as it provides a clear set of expectations of the adherent of the religion as well as providing a guide to the teachings of Buddha.
The first jewel ‘the Buddha’ is known by budhhists to be seen an enlightened human being. A well known Buddhist scripture quoted Majjhima Nayana “a Buddha is a person who is deep, immeasurable, and hard to follow as is the great ocean”. The Dharma being another one of the three jewels is the Buddha’s teachings and insights of Buddhism. The third jewel is the sangha, which is known as the worldwide community of Buddhists and monasteries of monks and nuns. The Buddha’s teachings are a guide for his followers to be on the correct path to eventually attain enlightenment and nirvana.
The mystery had almost been solved in 2005 by Zahi Hawaas and his team who took a closer look at a mummy found a century ago which was named KV6oa. It was at first neglected, because it did not have any jewelry or clothes which might indicate this used to be a prominent person (Brown, p. 2). So, another theory concerns her mysterious disappearing, as well as the destruction of any evidence of her rule. Had not it been for an accidental discovery of her tooth, the mummy would still be left unacknowledged. Soon after that, it had been proclaimed the King Herself and now she stays at the Egyptian
The stonework within the tower is very aesthetically pleasing and provides a sense of time and careful preparation. Overall, both spaces are very successful in carrying out their given function, but he main difference between the two is the detail in the construction. The A.C. Green Chapel and the main tower in Memorial Union are two very unique and pleasing spaces on the campus of the University of Missouri. While they share common attributes in how they use materials to make the spaces appear larger than they really are, they also are very different in function and detail. Overall, each building plays a role at the University and each was obviously crafted in a way that makes them unique and aesthetically
Guns Germs and Steel Quotes “History followed different courses for different peoples because of differences among peoples' environments, not because of biological differences among peoples themselves” (p. 39). This quote has a very strong message that is proven correct not only in the past but also today. Because of that message I chose to write about this quote. When we look at the most powerful communities today we see that they are all located near areas with ample natural resources. When the first community was found to have been located in Mesopotamia, near the Tigris and Euphrates river, it was no coincidence that the settlers remained in that location, but because of the rich and workable environment.
Turquoise Intro: The reason I chose turquoise for my final paper has to do with the history and some family ties I have with the mineral. And I also thought I would be different and choose a mineral not many people know about. History: Turquoise in Nevada has been mined before the first European settlers. Anasazi Indians were some of the first to mine turquoise and use it for beautiful jewelry. However, unlike some of the tribes in Arizona that also cherish turquoise, silver work and the art of making Native American style silver jewelry never became fully established in Nevada.
Louisiana does not specifically fit into every one of Diamond’s five-point structure, but we can evaluate Louisiana with most of them. Choosing to build levees once seemed like a good idea. The benefit of the levees would out way the costs. This is not true though. Everyday the environment is damaged because of these levees.

No one can see it except the caretaker which inevitably adds to its mystery but is a true testament to their faith in the ark. Paul Raffaele, a reporter for the Smithsonian magazine, went to Aksum to try to see the ark for himself. He describes his fruitless findings in these poetic terms: “But the reality of the ark, like a vision in the moonlight, floated just beyond my grasp and so the millennia-old mystery remained” (Raffaele). The faith of these Christians inspires reverence by all religions, regardless of the absolution of historical facts, which is the very basis of spirituality. The intimate relationship of a powerful King of Israel and a discerning Queen from afar leads to one of the world’s greatest mysteries The theory, in essence, unites people and religions through the ark.
