Health” by H.K. Graham Koh and S. A. Glied seeks to address clarity and an understanding of how and why we need an action plan to reduce ethnic disparities. It is my opinion that for many years back even in slavery blacks were deprived of the proper healthcare. We are now in the 21st century and right now today there are still minority people that cannot get the proper healthcare and therefore the final outcome for them unfortunately is death, just because they happen to fall in the underprivileged status. I’m appalled now and always have been, I just don’t understand why the Affordable Care Act was not in effect many years ago. I am sure this act alone would have developed health and health care problems for cultural, ethnic, and disadvantaged populaces. I appreciate this article it made it clear that there is in fact a problem and now let’s take quick action to improve the healthcare for the disadvantaged. The findings of this article would definitely help my present employment because I am a black American woman IT contractor and having insurance is not always easy to obtain when you are self-employed and not to mention when I am unemployed. The Affordable Care Act would not only be an advantage to me but for any employees that would work for me. The Affordable Care and Patient Protection Act will make sure that every American has
