"Marriage is a sacred bond which not only involves the couple but also the two families of the bride and the groom respectively. Be it arranges marriage or love marriage, marriage is nothing different", says R. L. Jewels love marriage needs as much work as an arranged marriage. A love marriage allows us to freely choose your mate, to find someone you are intellectually, emotionally and physically attracted to. You can build a life with them on your terms and make your own happiness. On the other hand an arranged marriage focuses on a family union. While looking for a partner for their son or daughter, parents will first check if the potential bride or groom’s family is compatible to theirs. They can share the same background (cultural and religious), socio-economic status, level of education, as well as similar values. Islam is one of a few religions that uses arranged marriages. Not only do the parents arrange the marriage but also by older relatives is allowed to as well. They believe that the parents know all about their children so they are capable of choosing a suitable partner whom may enable the couple to have a successful marriage, all though if either the bride or groom disagrees the wedding cannot go on.
