He just slammed it over and over out of the park. One day after a big game he went out to celebrate with his couch, who was imaginary of course because Don Jenkins was a one man team. He stopped at the local market to pick up his cottage cheese fix for the night. He grabbed 5 litres, more than he had ever eaten in one sitting. Needless to say, it was going to be a big night.
Well the defense did what they were told, holding them on 2 drives creating opportunity for the offense. The offense took over and didn’t mess around with Tanner M, Joe Maggio and Devon Schultz having great games on the line the running back, Almond and Quarterback Eberley took over the game scoring 14 more points to take the Warriors to their 2nd win making them 2-0 to start the season and hoping to repeat last years season. The Warriors have three home games and an away game at New Hartford the always heated game to finish out the season. For this week however Whitesboro will be taking on Jamesville-Dewitt to try and notch their 4th win in as many weeks and remain atop their conference. Also Whitesboro which was ranked 10th in the state rankings last week will try and climb that ladder as they continue to march on toward that all important goal of being New York
In the summer of 2009, I went on a vacation to Houston to visit my Uncle Victor. Once I had arrived, he took me out to go eat at his favorite restaurant. During our dinner, he asked me, “When do the Colts play the Texans again?” I answered, “They play twice every year, once in Houston and once in Indianapolis.” Later, he told me some shocking news that I did
Under the Big Lights High School was a blur. It came and went by so quick leaving fond memories and highlights of my life. Even though I only played football my senior year, it was an unforgettable experience and it changed my life drastically. Being able to play under those big lights in front of hundreds and hundreds of people was an honor. So much pressure rose as the time ticked down and the crowd stomped their feet waiting in anticipation for a Wolverine touchdown.
After 5 consecutive years of winning the pro bowl, the trend was put to a screeching halt during the 2002 season, due to his shoulder injury. Thankfully, Ray was back into shape for the 2003 season and it was a pleasing entity to watch this champion play yet again. Many tabloids, magazines and sport shows started to feature Ray and wrote about his amazing recovery and his successful football career. After another injury suffered within the 2005 season, the year 2006 charged him up for the game, leading the Ravens defense to an NFL best ranking in the defensive category. Although 2007 didn't really prove to be a
The food is the best, and the fans are great to mingle with. I have been very fortunate in the last few years to be at many regular season games, two playoff games and the home run derby during the all-star break. I have also collected many autographs from former MVP’s and Cy Young award winners before the games. There is nothing else like a postseason playoff game at Busch Stadium. There is an electric feeling in the air as soon as you get out of your car in the parking lot.
This event is going on in the prime of football season, October. The Oklahoma State University Cowboys showed to have a rewarding season last year, making them even more favorable this year for fans and students to buy the tickets to watch the team in person. The stadium was made to hold just over 60,000 people and every seat has been utilized. There are also all the players on the field, the officers in the stands, the express personnel in the stands and at the concession stand, making the number of people rise. Kick-off for the game is set for 6:00 pm and fans were observed camping out around the stadium the night
There is one thing that I really loved about being in the South and that was when we cooked Sunday dinner, it would always be tons of food. One of the main dishes of course was fried chicken. If there wasn’t any fried chicken, then you could count me out. I ate so my fried chicken when I was a kid, I woke up one morning and seen a white feather on my bed! I don’t know of anything else out there better that tasted better than fried chicken.
I look to my left and see my best friend and star wide receiver, Slick Fells. We ran out of the locker room extremely confident that we were going to beat Ridgefield and get a shot to win the state finals. The game started and Slick and I were perfect. I knew exactly where he would be every play. Ever since I first met him in 5th grade pewee football, our chemistry has been perfect.
Representing my school by playing for the varsity football team was surreal to me. Out of the fifty freshman playing football, I was the only one to suit up and play for varsity that season. Winning that game would have meant going to the playoffs and most importantly, it wouldn’t have been the last football game for the seniors. That game also had a personal significance for me; it would be the first time I would be playing underneath the lights of Eagle Stadium for everyone to
