Pro Choice A topic that is very controversial in today’s American society is whether or not abortions and stem cell research should be legal or not. There are more facts that prove these topics should be legal. The 9th Amendment states the American’s right of pro choice. Abortion should be kept legal because there are many reasons why the mother should not have the baby. Also because abortions are legal then stem cell research should be made legal because if a fetus is already killed then it can still be put to good scientific research and possibly help another human being. Many people do not realize the significance this research can have on a human and society. This research can make paralyzed humans walk again. If this research was legal then who knows how far it can advance many different medical fields. It argued that this research is immoral because a fetus must be used, but this topic falls on all the same lines as abortion. This could be potentially dangerous to the mother. For example, a woman may fall down a set of stairs to kill the fetus. This act would be doing serious damage to her self. Also seeing a non licensed doctor at an illegal clinic would also be extremely dangerous, and yes, these things do exist. This would all be the cause of take away an American’s right to choice. Pro choice has many positive sides to the issue and helps many more humans. This belief can save a human from death of going through birth, and can even help the paralyzed move again.
