Carson-Newman College MGT 540-A: Organizational Behavior A K Case #1 It is many ways of recruitment exist, and Apple decides to recruit them differently, the main point was to recruit not the sales people using sophisticated technology but people true believers in Apple products. It does matter how person is recruited, but matters that they should be train as a team, with equal attention to all new employee, and creating passion to the Apples products. Loyalty to employees will create loyalty by employees. 1.1. Is there something unethical about Apple’s “black card strategy,” or does it merely represent good, hard-nosed business? I do not think that is any issues with “black card strategy”, we are living in world of competitions, someone talented may think about change, and Apple in this case just provided opportunity. If employee happy with their own job, they may stay with place where they are, if not they may consider Apple. My opinion that “black card strategy” was creative way to recruit creative people with a passion to work. 1.2. Should Apple offer different training content from employees recruited through the black card strategy? How might their job satisfaction differ from employees who are recruited in more traditional way? By offering different training Apple will create “special people “with “special treatment for them, which I do not think is right way. Everybody should have the same training, and have to be trained together; it will create sense of the teamwork, and company culture. Apple wanted all workers to bring passion for Apple products to the table, as Apple will bring passion to all workers. A job satisfaction differ from employee to employee, not by the ways how employees was recruited. From first day of training by caring about employees Apple will start to build job satisfaction, and passion that Apple wanted.
