Keywords: culture, prepared, school counselor View of Myself Looking back at the receptivity scale, I feel as though my responses have made me realize that I am very well prepared to be a school counselor. What I see, what I know, and what I display to those students around me in the school environment lets me know that I truly am a people person. I love helping others regardless of race, gender, religion, disabilities, adults, children, and so on and so forth. That is just the personality that I carry. What I do believe is that being raised by a GOD fearing woman, who strongly stands firm by his word, has taught me many things.
I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need. I currently represent the “Scholarship” Trait of NJHS by doing the work to the best of my ability. Building a bank of “what if” scenarios is a valuable tool in building a solid teaching philosophy. * Discussing teaching cases allows teachers to reflect and think critically about a certain problem without actually having to go through the experience. Helping teachers prepare for possible situations that may arise in the classroom, is a huge benefit to teachers. Knowing ahead of time how to respond to a certain situation helps build confidence and reduces anxiety in the decision making process. People were encouraged to be smart.... These young people were acting as agents in their own development. (416) Mike Rose's Possible Lives has provided us with support for continuations of the arguments we have had and the battles we have waged over the thirty or more years of our professional lives. How can you apply what you have learned? One of the most valuable elements that I learned from the Political Frame Wiki is that each of the key players play a significant role in the political frame. Key players can include counselors, teachers and even janitors. What is important is that each key player is given an opportunity to utilize their strengths to provide students with an optimal learning experience so that they may fare as adults in the real world. They key players each play a role in helping students and the school as a whole to be successful.
Even though Amir believes this, he finds it hard to confess his sins to Rahim Khan and his secret can be compared to Soraya’s openness. Amir is clearly yearning to atone his sins throughout the novel as he quotes “I knew all about regret” when he is informed of his wife’s past. Soraya has been able to move on because she has accepted her past and confessed her secrets. As the novel progresses, we see Amir grow in maturity, partly due to his separation from Baba, and can now can accept the opportunity to atone. Rahim Khan, as Amir’s mentor and friend, helps to support the ideas about redemption and why it is still possible, “there is a way to be good again”.
