Animals do not have the ability to speak, have a thought process that can be communicated nor do they understand the human civilization. They deserve compassion and gentle treatment but not rights as far as humans go. 2. America has enough domestic issues of our own that we should be taking care of first. Defending other countries or invading other countries that we have no business interfering in causes us nothing but more problems.
Insofar as I can make-out, people are uncomfortable to know how animals die and to assume such a responsibility. When I've showed people videos of --seemingly credible-- factory farm footage they either react in two different ways: (1) either they quiver-away or plea me to turn it off (2) or they uncomfortably scoff at how ridiculously cynical it all is. Albeit, appalled, this doesn't generally discourage people to stop eating meat altogether. They simply look past it when they go-off and buy animal-based products. The fact of the matter is that the animal products we buy are the source of considerable pain and cruelty.
First off, I am not a vegetarian, I don’t support PETA, I’m not trying to change your life style, I’m not a hippie or tree hugger and I don’t even like animals as much as next guy, but we can never be ethical when it comes to killing, even if it’s for food. Whether or not we find it morally acceptable, we still support the process of killing animals. Some of us might not think about the food we eat, while others don’t care, but the animals are treated in the worst possible ways. In short animals are beaten, they have their throats cut, forced fed, drugged with antibiotics becoming over weight, butchered, stunned and skinned, while they are alive screaming of agony, just for of either for pleasure or for taste the animals go through hell because of it. Drugging animals is too costly.
Mystery Meat I am researching the conditions of meat packing plants to explore the constant high rate of food-borne illnesses. Also, how the treatment of the animals at the slaughterhouses contribute to food-borne illnesses. Throughout my research I have discovered many disturbing and horrifying truths about the treatment of the animals at slaughterhouses. The high demand of meat annually in the United States is astounding, mainly demanded by fast food corporations. In the United States one million animals are slaughtered every hour and around ten billion farm animals will be raised and slaughtered annually.
Medical research or product testing could no longer be performed on animals. Also animals could no longer be hunted. This leaves us back to the problem at hand since everyone cannot agree on either choice. At this point we have met in the middle saying that we will treat animal as humane as we can. We will not make them suffer long painful deaths.
Years ago animals were bred for food, but they were also able to raise and feed their children. They were left with room to move and fed properly. Farms today are much different. Companies force thousands of animals into small cages together, with no room to walk, breathe and hardly ever fed the correct way. The feeding of a breed of an animal to another of the same breed is not uncommon as well.
Animals have the right to live without being at any point, confined, exploited, tormented, or eaten. It’s wrong of people to use animals to experiment. The thought of them making fun out of them makes me sick because there is no need for it. A couple of the things I wanted o mention that I agreed on was
Mill dogs may live exclusively outside, where they are exposed to environmental conditions which harm them, or conversely live entirely indoors in cages. Because dogs at puppy mills are racked with health problems, their healthy lives and breeding years tend to be significantly shorter than those of other dogs. (ASPCA) This problem, coupled with the limited space at puppy mills commonly results in mass euthanasia once the dogs move past the age where they can sustain the rate of overactive production at which they are expected to
Food Inc. Animals are living beings and should be treated with decency in our society. I think that people often see animals as inferior creatures because they are not like us. However they are living creatures that depend on the same sources and basic needs to survive on this planet. For this reason alone, I believe that humans should treat animals with more decency.
This is a very excruciate form of animal abuse, and is one of the worst known to man. Stopping animal abuse such as puppy mills will help a lot of animals in need and here are some reasons how: Refusing to buy dogs that are shipped from puppy mills. Most of those dogs that had been shipped from puppy mills would be ill with a disease. A lot of the dogs that are trapped together in a small area carry diseases and pass it on to other dogs. With no taking car of these poor dogs have no choice to have what’s coming, and to help them you would have to see the dog to get them.
