Millions of animals die each year because scientist unfortunately test, practically everything on the animals before people. Cosmetics, medications, and hand sanitizers are some of the things tested on animals. Gillette is one company who tests their products on animals. I remember reading an email once showing where Gillette researchers put things like shaving cream, etcetera into the eyes of defenseless bunnies to see if it burned, and the bunnies screamed. Drug manufacturers test medications on animals after they have been injected with viruses and diseases to see if the medications work on the animals.
Although this sound good for us humans, think about the hundreds of animals killed a month, just so a major cosmetic company such as Maybelline can test a new batch of lipsticks. The conditions that the animals are kept in are appalling, and not to mention unethical. In some cases, the animals are kept in cramped cages and often go without food.
In the story of the Evil of Animal “Rights”, the writer tells us that animals are being test every day which causes death to most of them. He says that it is not a right to kill animals. Then, he gives so many evidences to prove using testing animals are extinct. I think, using animals for testing give us new vaccine which makes our lives better. Without animals for testing, where would our lives be going?
Next thing the world knew thousands of animals were being killed either in or for animal experimentation. Now more than 100 million animals are poisoned, burned, crippled, and abused in U.S. labs each year and that is only a percentage of all the animals that are truly used, all others (94%) are excluded from the only federal law offering any sort of protection; the Animal Welfare Act, which controls the use of animals in research. So we may never
Obviously, it affects the animals themselves, because they are the ones being treated badly. For example, with animal testing, the poor animals are being tortured to death to make sure HUMANS don’t get cancer, birth defects, etc. The fact that people think it is okay to put these possibly harmful chemicals into innocent living creatures is ridiculous! “Humane Society International estimates that 100,000–200,000 animals suffer and die every year due to cosmetic testing. In these tests, the animals have chemicals forced down their throats, into their eyes and onto their shaved skin in order to document their reaction to ensure the safe use for humans” (Zuazua 2017).
Anyone that the plague came upon, caused reddening stains on the face and the body would appear, which caused the individual to be thrown in a secluded quarantine factory. This disease appeared in over less than an hour. During this time no one could find the cure for this impeccable disease. As time goes on mass destruction is steady rising in the city. When President Toro heard of this distraught news he was horrified of the mass destruction that was going on.
Mystery Meat I am researching the conditions of meat packing plants to explore the constant high rate of food-borne illnesses. Also, how the treatment of the animals at the slaughterhouses contribute to food-borne illnesses. Throughout my research I have discovered many disturbing and horrifying truths about the treatment of the animals at slaughterhouses. The high demand of meat annually in the United States is astounding, mainly demanded by fast food corporations. In the United States one million animals are slaughtered every hour and around ten billion farm animals will be raised and slaughtered annually.
Each year, throughout thousands of animals are dying or being ridiculously abused. In 2007, there were 1,880 animal abuse cases in America. 1,212 of those cases were about dogs, 337 were about cats, and 470 were other animals. Harmless, innocent animals are being hurt, and being very harmed but crucial people with no intention of what they are really doing. They are beating poor animals senseless.
Thousands of dogs die in puppy mills each year. The suffering they are put through before they die is disheartening. Australian puppy mills are depressing and the suffering of the thousands of dogs in the mills is unfathomable yet they are considered legal. Australian puppy mills need to be stopped and the suffering
I understand medication being tested on animals but the cosmetic industry should not test on animals because its animal cruelty, the testing is not accurate, and there are other ways to test products. First reason they should not test on animals is because it’s animal cruelty. In America animal abuse is illegal. Testing on animals is abuse! Everyday millions of animals are locked in small cages giving them only enough room to turn around, and they have makeup put on them, and thousands die from it everyday.
