Andina’s growth in mid-1990 with acquiring bottling operations in Brazil and Argentina has posed new challenges to its management due to the fact that all the countries where Andina was operating were different culturally and geographically in spite of their vicinity. The idea of bringing the different country operations under the one organization to achieve the common business process was obvious for the kind of challenges faced by the company management. It resulted in development of information system which can procure the data from many sources and make easier to see across the organization. Control panel designed was intended to provide solution by helping management to manage all subsidiaries under one roof. As the company operations and sales have widened from 1990’s onwards in Argentina with acquiring various bottling operations the company was facing many problems which was affecting its performance. There was no formal process followed for collection of debts. Due to large geographical area, the company was spending more money for some sales in distribution than it gets from sales. The managers were not looking at the profit percentage from each customer but instead were counting on numbers. The company was not keeping eye on the industry sales in the territories it doing business so company was not able to understand the potential areas of sales it can aim for. While the B-brands sales is increased in 2000 compared to 1998 sales at the same time Andina’s sales decreased. The control panel was helpful in streamlining the sales people routines thus by formulating the collection process. It was also helpful to overlook the company sales operations by eliminating the zero efficiency accounts.
