Richard Mount APA THEO 201-B33 LUO In spite of what man has done to God’s creation, He has not abandoned it. He continually preserves it and sustains it through His grace and providence. Men are still made in His image and mankind is still Gods greatest creation. Chapter I in Genesis tells us how God created the heavens and the earth. He loves that creation and still holds it all together.
Kickapoo Indians used to live in the lower parts of Wisconsin but later lived in the southern parts of Illinois and Indiana, which were among lands detained by Illinois and Miami, according to the Catholic Encyclopedia. Because they were undeveloped and agricultural, they took many journeys near the country's longest river, the Mississippi, to hunt down wild and tame creatures. Hunting, they used many earthly tools that they shaped themselves such as bows, arrows, and spears. Also, because they were agricultural they ate staple food such as corn. As they, the Kickapoo Indians, became more known, they were known as travelers and for their daring or risk-taking character.
One was called ‘slash and burn agriculture.’ This technique involved going to an area covered in trees. They then cut down the trees and burned all the stumps. The ashes left over from the fire were used as fertilizer, which worked very well for a period of time. The other technique was known as ‘raised field farming.’ A small wall of dirt was built around the field. They collected the dirt from different areas.
I agree with some of the historians she chooses. Like Calvin Martin, he said the Indians do a fur-trade because of the holy war of revenge they are doing. Hunting animals is sacred to Indians, so when they hunt, they do a ritual first to connect with the spirit of the animals. Even in my own culture, we didn’t hunt just for fun or sport. We hunt for food and resources.
He became primitive because he had to hunt and gather food like Native Americans did hundreds of years ago. The people who lived many years ago used home made weapons such as, bows, spears, and knives. They made weapons very well and they killed animals excellently. When John was in the forest, he had to hunt animals himself like the people that lived a log time ago. “E- yah!

Agriculture spread throughout the America’s. Having a stable food supply changes the way people lived. Once they no longer had to travel to find food they built permanent villages and focused their energy on many different activities. Slowly some cultures grew complex and became civilizations. A civilization has five features: (1) cities that are centers of trade (2) specialized jobs for different people (3) organized forms of government and religion (4) a system of record keeping

Taino Indians I find it very interesting to learn about my country and the history about my country and that is why I picked this topic for my term paper. I believe that in order to fully understand a certain group of people; their set of beliefs and how they developed a different kind of culture than the rest, you have to learn about their history. I have learned and understood so much about my culture now that I have taken the time and researched about my ancestors, their lifestyle, beliefs, and cast system. This is what some of what there is to learn about The Taíno Indians who were the first inhabitants of Puerto Rico or Boriken, the name that they gave it. Around the time that Christopher Columbus arrived to the New World; Taino Indians, a subgroup of the Arawakan Indians (a group of American Indians in northeastern South America), they inhabited Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic) and Puerto Rico.
They lived in a barter system where everything belonged to everyone and shared between the dwellers of that community. Their animalistic belief also influenced their view of nature. They respected the other living creatures. In order to respect the spirit of the animal, they collected and preserved the bones of all animals they killed while hunting. Even the hunting itself was for their survival as a source of food, not for the mere pleasure.
