Over the years that Hitler was in power of Germany he committed some terrible acts. The most horrible of these all was and event called the holocaust in which Jews were sent to death camps and exterminated. Being a Nazi Hitler didn’t like Jews very much and blamed them for every bad thing that happened. For example, the great depression, the Reichstag fire and even for the death of his own mother. Over the years of Hitler being in power he managed to indoctrinate the idea of hating Jews to most of Germany. In the time that Hitler and his right hand men ruled Germany they managed to kill six million Jews without anyone knowing, not even the Jews! The road to clearing Germany of Jews wasn’t easy but the Nazis managed. There are many steps that took place with even more factors to go along. On November 9-10 1938 the Nazi party had organised to ransack all Jewish owned businesses and part of their plan was to break every window. Because of the broken glass this date was called Kristallnacht or crystal night. In this one night 91 Jews were killed and 30,000 were sent to concentration camps. Germans were encouraged not to buy goods from Jewish owned businesses and the Jews buildings were tagged with the Star of David. This was a horrible time for the Jews. But worse was still to come. Hitler didn’t always plan on killing Jews. The idea of the death camps was supposedly decided by Hitler’s right hand men. The though was passed at a Nazi conference called the Wannsee conference. The conference took place at a town called Wansee in Berlin on the 20 January 1942 and it is said that Hitler did not attend the conference. The idea was called the final solution. It was believed that this was the final step in exterminating all Jews from Germany. Once the final solution was I action it proved to be more deadly that anyone could have ever imagined.
