The summary of the book America’s Hidden History shows such much to our history that the text books leave out. The book has about 6 parts to it, each part specifically explains a certain part in history. They are also on a time line starting from the beginning to our Revolutionary War. Part is called, “Isabella’s Pigs.” Now this part describes how Columbus got to the New World. The Spanish also spread their empire; this created a lot of wealth for the country and their main craving for power through this period in time. For them to be able to gain that wealth they had other empires to conquer before they could move on with their expedition. Part 2 was called, “Hannah’s Escape.” The time line is from 1607-1702; it describes a lot of politics during this time and shows some of the women leaders such as Queen Anne. Part 3 is called, “Washington Confession.” It explains the beginning of the King George’s through to King George 3. Part 4 is called, “Warren’s Toga.” This I thought was the most boring part, because…show more content…
The two things that stuck out to me the most were Queens Isabella’s pigs, and General Arnold’s betrayal. .” Now Isabella’s Pigs had a huge turnout in the Spanish expanding their land or them taking over the Indians. For example Queen Isabella suggested to Columbus that he go ahead and pack pigs on his voyage. Well those pigs kept the Spanish armies alive so they were able to complete the conquest of the America’s. They also may have been responsible for introducing the disease that killed millions of Native Americans. Now General Arnold’s betrayal is whole entire thing what the text book gives us. They label him as a traitor in American history. This book levels the playing field by describing him and what he is going through on a more personal level.
