They protect our lives, way of living, and the strong nation of America. Marines constantly put their lives in great danger for our country by protecting it with everything they have in them. American families and lives are saved every second simply because these men and women are out there
Our freedoms are what set American’s apart from other countries. For example, the amendment is a great example of what I mean. Americans like me have the opportunity to a good education and receive a good career apart from some countries. American people of all different races and religious can live and work together because everyone is allowed an equal opportunity. Americans are united we take pride in our country.

Pete Seeger and Folk Music Pete Seeger is so compelling because of his unwavering conviction for doing the right thing and protecting human rights. Even under the watchful eye of his enemies within the government and big wig monopoly power players he persevered. His songs have been a key element in many of the major political issues for the last forty years. Even being blacklisted for seventeen years from television and radio, he found a way to get his message of peace and equality across. Before folk music icon Pete Seeger had the Sloop Clearwater built to call attention to the need to clean up the Hudson River, he had had little experience on the water.
He always brawled for Islam, human rights and equality, because he was Afro-American as well as Muslim. As an Afro-American man, he felt the immense urge to aid his people to prosper and strive. “Human rights are something you were born with; human rights are your God-given rights…” He believed as a person that human rights are not decided for you, they are your rights and there is no other way of saying it. When his house was bombed, his life and his family’s lives jeopardized, he didn't stop fighting until he was woefully silenced. He selflessly and relentlessly continued to fight, knowing future generations depended on his actions.
The American Revolution is one of the most important and talked about events in American history. Sometimes, all people really know is that there was a war in which the new Americans fought against the British in order to gain independence, and the fact that the Americans won. Some details, however, are left out, such as feelings of those involved with the struggle and how the British government viewed the conflict. These details, ideas, and issues are vital to American History and should be told so that American citizens today know how the United States were formed. Many individuals involved with the struggle had different feelings and ideas.
Veterans’ Day lorena martinez Thank you to all the soldiers out there who are fighting for our freedom. We dedicate this day, Veterans Day, to every single soldier who dedicated their lives so we could be where we are now. I am always and will always be grateful for what America has given me. Soldiers have been fighting for freedom for ages now. Two great examples of this would be World War I and World War II.
Today in our education systems our student are learning that in 1493 Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue and discover America and portrayed as a heroic figure. I truly believe he wanted nothing more than to be praise by the king and queen and prove that he could indeed find gold. Through out time our nation has overcome great hardship wars in-justice, discrimination and hate have maimed our society for the worst. However as a single nation we have bravely fought for justice and freedom with the inspiration of several works leaders. In the essays “Victory Speech” by James Wood and “A Sprit Reborn” by William Safire, many vital points and facts regarding our nation were brought up. The articles are similar in ways such as events that are spoken about. They show that no matter how hard a nation is to destroy it is just as hard to get back up and fight for their nation back.
