Research alternative fuel vehicles. Small individual differences in our lifestyle can add up to large changes in society. There are many automobile companies exploring different types of energy supplies other than gasoline. Conduct research on these alternative fuel sources for automobiles. Discuss one alternative to gasoline for automobiles. Give some detailed background information on the automobile model that uses an alternative fuel source and please answer the following. There are several different alternatives for fuel. Ethanol, natural gas, propane, biodiesel, and hydrogen are a few of these new and safer fuels. They’re all produced from resources other than petroleum and can make our dependency on imported oil a thing of the past. Alternative fuels are much safer for our environment because they produce less pollution. In some cases and to boost alternative fuel vehicle sales, our government will offer tax incentives to people that buy these vehicles. I think my favorite ones would be the ethanol and biodiesel. Ethanol is made from crops, mainly corn and biodiesel is made from animal fats and vegetable oils. The others are all mainly made from fossil fuels and that’s something that we only have so much of. Crops, fats and oils are grown and raised every single day and probably cost much less to make than the others. * Would you consider buying one of these in the future? Why or Why Not? Most definitely! No matter the price of the fuel, the fact that it will save the environment from harmful pollutants and gases is worth every penny in my book. * How many gallons of gas would you save annually if you bought one of these vehicles?
