Alternative Dispute Resolution Alternative Dispute Resolution Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) includes dispute resolution processes and techniques that act as a means for disagreeing parties to come to an agreement short of litigation (as per Wikipedia). Alternative Dispute Resolution will trigger within the learning teams if disputes are not resolved in one day. Teams will have individual with different personal opinion and ethics that will cause disputes to occur. The disputes rose in reference to disagreement of rules of leaning team charter will enable Alternative Dispute Resolution. Learning Teams use e-mail as way for communication, assigning and submitting their work. Based on submission date team members set a deadline for work needs to be submitted for initial review and adjustments before final submission. Learning Team Charter are helpful communication, reviewing progress, helping each other and following team ground rules and guidelines. Dispute is triggered in teams when individual is not able to deliver their assigned work by set deadline. As most of the teamwork as inter dependent and needs submission for team members to complete their work in time, these will rise disputes in team and will cause ADR. As delay in work by other team members will impact individual’s quality of work and planned activities. As a team different people will have different ethics and priorities that will cause disputes. ADR is generally classified into four types: negotiation, mediation, collaborative law, and arbitration (as per Wikipedia).First level of escalation for Disputes that exceed more than one day will be negotiation in which one voluntary team member will be coaching both parties and trying to resolve ADR. Second and final level of escalation is arbitration in which third party person will be private judge and impose the resolution. Conclusion
