“Allegory of the Cave” is a dialogue between Socrates and Glaucon in “The Republic” written by Plato. In this allegory Socrates describes a dark cave deep down the surface where humans are chained and imprisoned. They could not move their body on either side. All they see is the wall they face in the front of them and the shadows of objects shown by the puppeteers. “The prisoners” in Plato's cave prefer to remain as prisoners even after they are released from their bonds because they are deceived by their own desires. The prisoners were leading a happy life because the shadows that they saw on the wall was the most real things for them. In “The Allegory of the Cave” one prisoner sets himself free and learns to habituate in the outside world by himself facing the reality. The prisoner who escaped learns that the sun is the main source of light that produced the shadow. He made his mind realize that whatever he saw in the cave were all illusions because they were just an image of an image. According to Socrates I present myself as a prisoner who is chained by my desires. I was a video game freak since I was a little kid till my late eighteen years of age. The puppeteer in my early teenage time were the video game builders. During my early age I played computer games like GTA Vice City, Street Fighter, Delta Force etc. Images were the main factor that my mentality pulled me towards buying games. As technology advanced, the gaming system also got to the higher level. Game console like Playstation and Xbox started to show up in the market. The consumer rate was so high that when I went to Game Stop to purchase a Playstation it was already sold out. Nontheless, I got it from Best Buy.
