Our country prides itself on encouraging its citizens to better themselves through education. (P) While its priority has been high school graduation, many jobs now require college degrees, making higher education more important than ever. While I understand that every American should be expected to sacrifice during this hard time, just as we were in World War II, I feel that this particular sacrifice would put our country in an even worse state. (S) Our work force will not be prepared to handle nor understand the advancements that we have strived so hard to achieve. College is made to prepare students with the newest information possible, so that we can constantly be improving ourselves and be able continue to compete with the world’s leading nations.
Murray and Ungar Synthesis In the many recent debates about how to approach higher education, one issue that has constantly appears is the question of students benefiting from a liberal arts based education. Some argue that a liberal arts education is helpful in teaching students the basic life skills, others claim that a more specific field of study is necessary in order to b successful in life. In Ungar’s essay “the New Liberal Arts”, he claims that with a liberal arts education, students can benefit tremendously when they receive their jobs. In Murray’s essay “Are Too Many People Going to College”, he proclaims that a liberal arts degree is not highly recommended because the more difficult careers want students to take classes that are more specific to a job. Sanford J. Ungar and Charles Murray both conduct and display their own opinion towards the facts they learned through their own strenuous research.
In today’s society, technology is rapidly advancing. The United States has sustained the same education system, while foreign countries have benefited greatly from year-round education. The impact of having a summer break is crippling American students, and should be reduced so that American students are able to excel. The United States should extend the school year so that students have more quality instructional time, less review time, and experience a global education experience. Students today that are missing out on the true contexts of the lesson taught are going unnoticed, due to the pace and lesson requirements the teachers are responsible for teaching.
We were all somehow exposed to different backgrounds, as well as lifestyles. Therefore, it’s safe to say that the statement “Is College for Everyone” doesn’t imply to certain people who were raised to think otherwise. However, Pharinet seems to think that most kids should consider not going to college at all. Pharinet went on to explain how most students will find themselves working full-time jobs to help pay the expenses of college, in result their grades begins to drop. Then the student decides to drop to a part-time worker, register for less class hours to find more time to work on improving their grades.
During the first meeting, our facial expressions and body language can help in developing a good relationship. A friendly eye contact can complement the good use of body language and contribute in putting person in ease if nervous. Communication is a two way track in which listening is also equally important as talking. Showing respect: In order to develop a positive relationship, we need to be courteous and respect the people, try to listen and understand their point of view which they’re trying to explain us. We work with people, who come from different places with different cultures and believe.
I like to see the culture of my generation spread overseas and turn some things that are negative into a positive light. Also, another positive thing would be interracial marriages. The blending together of two cultures is a beautiful thing that I like to see. You get to learn about another culture or religion, and you’re being exposed to new ways of thinking. You can incorporate things like this in your everyday life.

Using the correct or dominant modality for clients at the beginning of an induction means that the experience will be enhanced as the sub conscious will be more responsive to the internal representations. College right after highs school is not for everyone. I do believe that all people can benefit from a college degree when the time is right for them. Returning to college later in life can be the result of real life career experience and the realization of what it really takes to get ahead in life. Motivation, learning style, and career goals can have a great impact on your success or failure as an adult student. I tried college right after high school but dropped out because I felt like I was wasting time and money.
