Dear Mrs. Jones, I know I have a paper due at the end of the week and I was hoping I can have a little more time on it. I understand that these aren’t your problems, but please let me explain the situation. This semester I overloaded myself with more than I thought I could handle, because of unforeseen situations. First, I have a full time job and a family to take care of. At this time, my husband is away on business and I am left with tending to the kids on my own. When scheduling my classes I did not anticipate my husband going away. Because of the lack of work going on here, he needed to take this position that required him to be away from home. Next, because my husband isn’t here to help, I take on the responsibilities of chauffeuring the kids to their activities and helping with school work. These are the things he would do if he were working here. Not only do I have the responsibilities of taking care of it now, my 10 year old son has a science fair project I need to assist him on. Of course, my son doesn’t tell me about the science project until the last minute. I only have this evening to help him get this project together. That means 6 hours to figure out what he’s going to do, purchase the products, and put it thing together. Finally, because of my traditional culture upbringing, I take care of my parents. While the kids are in school, I help them around the house and take them to their appointments. I’m usually not over every day, but these last few weeks my mom hasn’t been feeling well. She complains about her joints aching and always tired. Because of the way she’s feeling, she isn’t able to tend to my dad’s needs. I need to make lunch and dinner is cooked for them. Clean the house if needed and take out the dog. As you can see from my previous assignments, I put 100% into everything I do. I have always turned in all
